The confirmation email is sent after you create a new account. You should receive this within a few minutes after you create your account.

In some cases, the email might not come through to your inbox. This can happen for a variety of reasons. Below are some of the reasons, and their solutions.

Flagged as Spam or Junk – It is possible that your email system might think the email is spam, and it would be routed to your Spam or Junk mail folder. If so, click on the email and then click on the link to confirm your account.

Filtered or blocked by a firewall – In some cases a domain, particularly at schools or other institutions, might have an email firewall in place to block spam and viruses, and if so, the email we send might not make it through to even your spam folder. There are only a couple of things you can do:

  •  Ask your IT department to “white list” the domain health.missouri.edu which is where the email comes from.
  •  If you still can’t get the confirmation email, you might try using a different email address such as your personal address, or sign up for an email address at a provider such as Gmail.
